    Default Cdti exhaust system questions

Ive been thinking of getting an exhaust system for my 1.9cdti 150. And I have a few questions
Would it be ok to just get a straight through pipe fromturbo back?
What size should I get diameter wise
Would I need one off them precats off eBay also or can thelikes of powerflow make one up
Would the straight through pipe go to the backbox or wouldit be better to literally get the pipe straight through and get a customtailpipe?
What price should I be looking at as it’s only a straightthrough pipe?

    All help would be appreciated

It'll benefit ffrom being able to breath easier, i did this to my old Alfa 2.4 JTD and the improvement was brilliant. It wasn't loud, and sounded rather good (for a 5-pot diesel)

Diameter wise, someone else may be able to help you there, as i'm not sure what it is. Cat-back would be the way to go on a budget, or a full system if your pocket allows it. Powerflow should be able to do you a cat-less system, but most places like this will not do it without at least having a silencer on it.

I had the cat, middle box and back boxes removed from my old one. The pre cat was still in but the noise was a bit much tbh. I would say either leave the back boxes on or leave the centre box on but don't remove both imo as all you get is the turbo 'whoosh' noise.

Thought the MOT required the Cat to be present if the car was manufactured with one..., not sure if power flow offer straight through pipes that look likes cats yet :P

The MOT only specifies cars that go through a full emissions test should have cats at mot time. Deisels are only subject to smoke tests therefore technically exempt. My old one passed the MOT this year without one.
