Very thirsty engine . you need to own a petrol station to own one of these, especially if you live in london
its nice the kick down must be wow lol all turbos are fuel eaters id say if u have a heavy rite foot ur looking at 15-20 mpg around town poss not even that
I get around 28 overall out of my 2.8T Elite HB but admittedly most of my miles these days are on motorways but when I lived in North London I averaged 26.9 for the first 50,000 of my cars life. The auto gearbox is one of the best i have ever driven, very responsive.
I have a 3.2 V6 at the moment and looking at some figures the 2.8T is just very slightly better on fuel.....so wouldnt be a big issue......the tax IS! and will be on my current car in the not too distant future. We are however looking for a diesel to save a bit of cash but at the price its at...it just seems a very good buy!
driven diesel for 3-4 years far to cheap now think its ment to be in the cheaper tax braket i think a post says. 3.2's are beter on fuel mate has one and gets 26 mpg round town where as our omega 3.2's got 19
