Mine's doing the same. Did yours start before or after the EGR valve was changed?
Strange thing is mine drives perfectly with the EGR valve disconnected although it's brand new. Can't fathom it out!?!

Managed to speak to a md mechanic and he was a bit stumped although he found a split vacuum hose and thought that might be the problem. I fixed that but still the same. Mine wasn't doing it until I changed the EGR valve (changed because I had the low power at low revs common problem which was cured but introduced the kangaroo fuel!). He also mentioned that the boost sensor is a common problem so I'll try cleaning it and see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the tip alkez100.
PS guys, does/did yours make a 'huff huff' sound also when it kangaroos?

If the boost sensor does not fix it then try disconnecting the EGR electrical plug. Mine drives perfectly like this!?!
