I used 5mm internal diameter pipe found it fitted the larger male fittings better and made some reducers for the smaller fittings with some wire shrink I had laying around perfect fit

My update....only changing the one by the radiator has assisted I think......seems to pull from 1.5k rpm now......will try the other one again properly....the one I had had to be cable tied at one end....so inconclusive!
What about some 4mm and 5mm pipe like this LINKY
On the shorter pipe....one side is smaller than the other.....thats where I had my issues....! Going to get another tomorrow.
I got a meter length of this ordered today but from the seller where you get the free clips not sure if it will be hard enough more than happy with what I've done with the clear pipe but I like the idea of having a bit of blue under the bonnet lol so thought I would give it a blast for the money and if it doesn't work aswell I'm sure there will be a small spot for it in my garage with the rest of the crap that I my well need one day
Thread renamed and made a sticky as requested hopefully will help many members
Glad I have helped a few ppl with this prob hopfully now it's a sticky then every cdti owner should have some more performance and if every one can report back there findings after changing them then that would be great thanks to the mods for making it a sticky
a question, on your pics you have 2 sliver vacum pipes which go up over the engine which the vacum hoses attach to, on mine an 06 1.9 i dont have the 2 pipes just a small s bend which connects the 2 pipes up. is this a mod or something to do with being an auto?
Hi doug a pic would be good I think if yours is a 120 cdti then it may be slighly different any pics would help though mate
Good to see its a sticky now. Thanks to richardn for bringing it to everyones attention. It'll be interesting to see if many people are effected by this issue.
