    Default Vegetable Oil/SVO in a Vectra C

    Hi there guys,

    I have a DTi Vectra C (2003 - so I think that's a Bosch pump and not common rail).

Do you think in slightly hotter weather it would be okay to mix some veg oil in with the diesel?

I am aware of HMRC/Duty issues and I know about changing the fuel filter regularly.

Down the local wholesaler it's 80p a litre.. and seeing as diesel had been cranked up to £1.20, I would consider it a worthwhile saving if I could use at least quarter SVO

Many thanks for all replies and advice!

As said, not worth the risk on the VP44 PSG16 pump. Too expensive if it goes pear shaped. I don't even use supermarket fuel in mine tbh
