    Default Navi70 Heater control Mod.

I'm not sure if you are already aware of this, or if im just being a bumbling fool

But i have a facelift Vectra, and i recently upgraded my HU to the NAVI70 from the CD 30 that was in there.

I had to change the screen and as such the surround for the screen/heater controls.

Being a cheap skate, i got the pre facelift version instead of the facelift version due to the £50ish price difference.

However it seems, with a lil modifcation, to fit perfectly.

all that needed doing was rounding the corners, and then skimming a few mm of the edges, and taking a small 10mm x 10mm piece of foam on the top left hand corner of the gap for it to go in.

IMO, it looks as good as it would if i had spent the additional £50ish quid on the facelift one.

    What do you think?

    (Sorry if repost)

I did this in reverse, but couldn't quite grind square enough corners onto a facelift air-vent surround.

Looks good and tidy...looks original which is a bonus.

Could have sworn that it was a pre-facelift CID surround that I sent you last year...but you had to modify it by cutting and shutting...
I am sure the CID aperture is wider on the facelift, compared to the pre-facelift screen surround. (This was what I had bought in error from Vx a couple of years ago!! lol)
As you know, I ended up grinding the top edge flat on a facelift surround, to get it to fit our 2005 pre-facelift...our screen is an 06 facelift item.

Is there nothing on flea-bay? must be a lot cheaper than Vx.
