I have just been out side to see if I have the follow me lights on the car, you know the ones where you can illuminate your drive and door way for 30 secs once you have got out of the vehicle. Yes I do. I then decided to follow the straight forward instructions that have been posted on here on how to change the locking mechanism. I wanted to be able to unlock all the doors by pressing the button on the key fob only once, I have done that and also activated the doors locking as you get to 10 mph. Very pleased with myself as I am a bit of a biff at this sort of thing.

My only concern is that now I have done this and the doors lock when I pull off, they do not unlock when I pull the inside door handle. I have to push the unlock button on the door panel. Is this right as I have been in many cars that unlock as soon as you go to open the doors.

Comments please, I do not see this as a drama but was just curious. My car is the December 05. 1.9 CDTi SRi.

me neither mate but im going to try it as my wife drives the car mostly and it would make her feel more comfortable and safe if the doors locked automatically

indeed they do mate...happens when the airbags fire..

it's a good idea, but i don't have it activated, if they were to still open with the internal door handles then i'd do it, but when you've got passengers in the car its a bit anoying.
