Default How much for rear window (boot)

So yeh driving to uni this morning, something hit the rear of my car. Entire rear view window shattered and theres a clear impact mark on the very edge of the window and on the paint of the metal.

Whats the law regarding driving with the opening duck taped up whilst i get money together to sort it out. And what prices am i looking at for just the window as i can get it fitted for free.

    Bad bad day.

Well 2 things you can do...1. Source the window yourself and see 1 of the lads at a windscreen place to fit it buckshee/ see 1 of the lads at a windscreen place to see how much he can do it on the fiddle..(they can get the glass cheaper)..2. Go to windscreen company and ask how much they would charge through the books....(Big companys will only fit new glass.......Small one man band companys also fit secondhand glass)....hope you get it sorted m8........P.S. check the paint work incase of any scratches from the broken glass......

Getting hold of a window is my main priority, Cheers anyway fella

Im good with plastic fabrication i was thinking of cutting an A0 size clear plastic perspex and just using a silicone to bond it on as a tempfix but at the minute im too down hearted to move.
