Default Retro fitting xenon auto levelling sensors

I've been reading about retro fitting xenon's lately and was wondering what exactly was invloved in retro fitting the leveling sensors?

It would appear that there is an extra wire on the headlight itself which may (or may not) be for the sensors. I've heard people say it's not worth the cost etc... but has anyone actually looked into this?

Most things that have been retro fitted seem to start off with "can't be done", "costs too much", "not worth it" etc..

But we all know that this mostly turns out not to be true..

    Bluetooth
    Electric Folding door mirrors
    Rain Sensors
    Dimming mirrors
    TPMS
Park Pilot (Front and Rear parking sensors)
    etc..

I know you could just fit a HID kit, but I prefer to be as factory standard as possible, especially when it comes to selling the car and the law could easily change and we find ourselves with illegal lights!

So come on guys (Andy L ), can we actually do this?

Due to collecting a few of them in an attempt to get a fully working set, I've got one I've taken apart (a monsterous job in itself...) to see what wiring goes where etc...

Have to say the dark ones look 100% better m8. Car is looking good, and you only have 2.34325356% to go

I have to agree - but if I'm honest I need a new top VXR bumper section and the passenger headlight is still rubbish as it has a mount missing and the bottom is sealed where it was cracked... If I can sell my chrome AFL's it'll be handy though...

roy, im sure i cud retro fit these without a doubt, anything is possible with me as you know lol

i was thinking about ya afl headlamps earlier and thought

"shall i use my vectra as a dummy to retro fit these and see how much is involved "

as im pretty good in retro fitting i thought this could be a good challenge

penfold, would you be in a position to part with ya headlamps as a temp
loan of them so im able to carry out this mod and if it works then i buy ya
headlamps off you then this way i will know how much is involved in retro fit
as doing it this way cud guarantee selling ya headlamps and creating a new
    retro fit mod.

if not then this mod cant really be done without forking out pounds for
    headlamps that may not work.
