Default Different type of factory fitted CD players?

Got a 2.2 Sri facelift model and im swapping it for a 1.9cdti Sri 56 plate. My question is on my dash on the cd player it says CDC 40 Opera and it has a 6 CD changer but the 1.9sri says CDC 30 and has slighty different buttons. Whats the difference? My one at the moment has an option of swapping the display to the radio channel displayed or miles left wereas from what i can see on the CDC 30 the radio channel and miles left are on the same screen at the same time. Does the CDC 30 have a CD changer? If so how many CDs? Thanks.

The cd30 is not the best radio, you are going down market in radio terms. No cd changer, the cd40 is the only one which has this.

There are lots of threads on here.

If your CDC40 has DAB, then you will need the DAB box, the aerial and coax, link loom between dab box and head-unit and also link coax between dab and head-unit.

If not a DAB unit, then it is almost plug and play

Remember to decode / divorce all radios and screens from original cars, and then get them paired / married into their new cars.
Will require tech 2 programming for this bit at your local dealer or vauxhall / saab specialist

Cheaper to get your local spark to do this if you don't want to do this yourself.

Dealer price for programming is anywhere between 50 and 80 quid per car...but then again, most people only do one car..not two
