Low brake pads won't put on the ABS / ESP warning light. You should have a separate warning light for pads.
Need the fault code(s) reading out.
Brake indicator is a seperate light mate. Checked the fuse for the ABS unit...?
will try today after i get it back from having a new clutch lol
where is the fuse positioned?
according to the manual there is 3 fuses for the abs?
16 = 5a
29 = 40a
32 = 40a
also wondering if the ESP is the yaw rate control sensor fuse which is number 20 ?
Check them all mate - easiest thing to do to begin with...
I had that on mine, eventually followed by the indicators failing to cancel
I took a photograph of it (as that included the mileage) and presented it to my dealership
They weren't sure, but at first attempt they replaced the CIM and that fixed the problem
ESP and TC lights on together means the the sensor in one of your front hubs in faulty. It cannot get the signal it needs to see and so puts up a fault. 1st check the sensor cables attached to the struts going down into the hubs, ie not broken etc. If all is ok you will need to get the fault code read to see which side it is and then buy and fit a new hub as the sensor is built in the hub. As far as I remember about £80 to buy a new hub.
Hope this helps.
i wonder if its got anything to do with the new wheel bearing assembly i had fitted, as it was an aftermarket part.
I take it the wheel bearing assembly you fitted was a hub you fitted, as the hub contains the wheel bearing plus abs sensor. Did the assembly you fitted have a cable coming from it. If it didn't you have fitted a hub without a sensor and so the ABS and TC lights will come on in the dash.
The sensor needs to see wheel rotation. If it doesn't it recognises a fault and your abs will not work. Check the hub you fitted.
