    Default v6 cdti needs love

    did 40 miles tueday and got near home idleing and next the engine start shaking then eml and rev's raise to 1k rpm. booked in wed for scv valves in the pump and learn values reset. so driving vx courtesy car 1.2 baby blue agila i miss my diesel as alot of big hills round here

    Are you sure it's the SCVs? Sounds like a normal limp mode reaction. My old 3.0 did that...kicked upto 1k when in limp mode and shook quite a lot if I pressed and depressed the brake pedal (it dropped the revs back to normal and up again)

    no their is a bulletin for reset learn values and sps the ecu as to sensative but told vx technical my fuel pressure reading and they said so near to knackered do them. so cheeky is net Q claim

    You can't diagnose a blocked SCV with the engine on idle, the engine has to be under load
    I suspect something else, which has then put the engine into safe mode, hence why the revs raised to 1000rpm on idle

    Given there is fault code that should be easier to diagnose than a blocked SCV

    p0302, p0303, p0305 and p0304 misfire fires in cyl 2,3,4 and 5 thats what the sps fixes then after rt with tech 2 told technical the results and they said they aint great

    trouble is would never have petrol and never a 1.9 so still the best just wants some love. 56 on had all this already sorted should of got 07

    i was a snob and wanted afl, ids +, phone and full park sensors so got this. least it's free i spouse but if more probs might get chopped for a younger model but basicaly will be the same its a disease i call 6pot
