Renewing seat adjustment cable

Hi, Does anyone know how easy it is to renew the cable that allows the seat to slid back & forward? I think mine has snapped. I can slide it manually by reaching under the seat, so it does like its the cable.

Have you looked under the seat at where the cable joins the bar that your lifting? Mine just pops out every now and then and I just lift the bar and clip it back in.

I haven't, I'll try that. Don't suppose you have an image of what I'm looking for do you?

No not really, but if you jack the seat right up and put your head under from the back you will see the bar and on the drivers side, the cable clips on at the "middle" of the car side - if that makes sense.

have a look with a torch, its fairly easy to look at.

Well MANY MANY thanks Big Sig! I finally got under the seat after arriving home tonight and sure enough you were right, the ball at the end of the cable had come out of the clip/socket, and it's now working again! Cheers
