    Vehicle : 2007 Vectra

Trim : SRi XP T Saphirre Black

    Engine : z20net

    Year : 2007

    Mileage : 80k

Default I'm EDS mapped one again (my review this time)

Well, I'm absolutely made up, the power figures are ever so slightly lower than I'd like, it just missed out on the magic figures by 4bhp and 4lb torque.

Although Ian at MPG kept stressing that it was really hot in there and I'd just driven 25miles and practically gone straight onto the rollers, plus my car is box standard, no filters, exhausts or airbox mods here! Sounds like excuses but Ian said that really makes a difference!

    Anyway, bottom line?

    150.4bhp 234lb torque standard
    196.3bhp 296lb torque mapped

the gains are chuffing noticable, goes like stink! And with sport button on it's acceleration is incredible, proper pushes you in the seat! Feels quicker than
my old mapped 1.9 (no figures on that one!)

I'm very please! just need to do my airbox mod and perhaps wack in a filter of some type.

    Mike

Nice one Mike. The filter could give you a couple of bhp, near the 200bhp mark . Good results for a standard car plus remap. Thought of an exhaust? get an extra 10bhp possibly!

Excellent news mate and definitely get a couple more mods done and I think you will reach 200bhp!

I seem to have got used to mine now and it doesn't feel that fast... maybe I need to go back to standard to see the difference! Not sure... that's why I'm starting to think I have EGR or swirl valve problems, sometimes it's fast and nice other times it feels slow and sluggish! (might just be me not woke up in a morning yet!)

Anyway glad you're happy mate, did you go for the EGR disabled version?

I've thought about exhaust, but for now I'm genuinely happy and don't think I'll do much more! Want to go on few driving holidays this year, rather put my money into that! I just wanted to add that bit more grunt to an otherwise (in my opinion) perfect spec car

Phoned Ian and asked him which one mate ha ha (sorry)

Been playing today, haws I forgot how fast these are mapped! The sport button is cool, it removes all turbo lag everywhere! Infact I think with sport on in the wet it might be undrivable! Good job it switches off!
