Default OH NO... The modding has started.

Well the idea of keeping my GSi standard has just gone out the window.
Just got back from the local VX dealer with a pair of Insignia washer jets so thats a little bit to do today but just booked the car in to get the windows tinted next saturday. Now all thats left to do is to phone MIJ up to book the car in for a full decatted system to be fitted on my week off (the bank holiday week YAY).

Oh i've just remembered that i've got to got pick up some lowering springs as well some point next week too.

So the first part of modding hasn't gone to plan, just gone out to fit the new washer jets and have found out that the standard ones are heated so now i'm stuck with 2 Insignia washer jets that i can't use.

May be wrong, but if yours are original to the car and not the modified heated jets they were discontinued by Vauxhall due to possible fire risk. Vauxhall were at one point removing them during servicing http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...ed+washer+jets

The insignia doesn't have heated jets, it has some form of heater for the water.

Well after this comment i did a bit of investigation work and found out that this is indeed the case. VOSA had issued a recall notice about Vectras built between 2004 to 2006 saying that moisture can get in and cause a short circuit. They also said that in extreme cases it has been known to cause fires so with that in mind i had no hesitation in removing them and fitting the Insignia ones.
