    Default vxscc?

Is anyone in the vxscc? Ive been thinking of re-joining to do a few events with my retro astra but looking at the website it looks very out of date with News about 4 months out of date and no events pics for 2006 at all!. I know the membership numbers have dropped judging by the display at billing but I just wondered if everything is ok with the club and whether I should rejoin or not? I don’t want to waste £30 if they are going to announce anything bad next week etc.

I know Graeme definitely is/was a member - not one myself (or ever have been). But from what I've heard they seem to be in a sort of 'self-destruct' mode. I'm sure some members will be able to clarify.

Its hard to get a real picture of whats happening. I know Graeme hasn’t rejoined over issues about lack of support for Scottish members, but Tommy says they had a good show In Edinburgh at the weekend.

They had a smaller number of cars at billing this year than ive seen for a long time, but I do know that my local region is now up and running and doing well I understand, so as I said, its very hard to get a picture of whats happening. Certainly the out of date club website isn’t doing much for confidence. Also, the VXRonline website is set and up and run by ‘quote – the people that brought you the Vauxhall sports car club’, which makes me wonder where their efforts are now directed.

I'd love to rejoin but i dont want to waste my money

Ah yes - it was more the Scottish region that G was referring to now that you mention it. But, as you say, confusing when they had a good turnout at F&M!

I suppose wait and see if other members pop in a post - or at the end of the day just join and see what it's like. If you find it's not working for you then £30 is not a huge amount of money to have 'wasted'?

I was a member but all but about 3 or 4 east of scotland region didnt rejoin. The good turnout at F+M was a mix of east and west regions and 3 of the clubs bosses appeared each bringing a vxr from vauxhall. This shows the politics involved as they point blank refused to support while we were in. A couple of guys had also made the journey up from down south.

To be honest in my opinion its a pure waste of £30 especially if you are going to be showing at events like trax or pvs with us. The boards are i believe dead and the benefits are nothing special at all.

Up to you andy each to there own as they say. maybe being nearer the action geographically you might get more out of it.
