1.9cdti smokes when at 80 mph

Hi All,

This is doing my head in!!
When driving to work on the motorway after 10 minutes plumes of white smoke come out the back, No warning lights come on.
As i am still rolling i switch off then on the ignition and it's gone and will not return until the next day.
If i keep the speed below 75 mph it does not happen.
any ideas

Do you lose any water at all..?

Any fluids need regular topping up..?

Fluids are all fine i never use a drop.
I presume the smoke is un-burnt fuel.

Wouldnt have thought it would be the DPF regenerating, dont you have to hold them at about 4000rpm for about half an hour to do that?? I could be wrong of course.

If it's needing to regenerate, it'll see the drive on the motorway as it's chance to do it.

No big deal
