    Default Standard springs lowered

I haven't fitted my alloys to the car yet, but I have been told its going to look a bit stupid. I have 17's on at the moment with 215/50/17 and my new alloys are 18's fitted with 225/40/18. The gap is going to be massive between the tyre and top of wheel arch. How would I go about lowering my standard springs after the new alloys are on, just until I can afford to get some proper ones? Cheers,
    George

I don't believe there is any soloutions out there worth considering. I'm in a similar situation on my 19's with SRi suspension but it will have to wait and take it's turn till funds are in place.
