Same happened to me. The outline of the badge appears white in my paint.

Well mine ended up like this!

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83485

Badge was stuck on with epoxy or something and ripped the paint off where it was stuck! Was a bodyshop repair unfortunately, think they charged about £70 for it doing but this was along with other bits like my spoiler.

usually it means the tailgate has been painted at somepoint.i had this with mines to i just stuck the badge back on and lived with it. infact mine was painted round rather than removed and stuck back on..their only ment to be on with foam tape from factory..most amatuers glue them on leaving us with the above result!

I would but i have just taken a trip to milton keynes today to get a passenger door to replace the scratched one. That cost me £40 in fuel + £50 for the door.
So maybe when my funds are looking better.
Do you think you would polish that out.?
I am determined to keep the car debadged.
I really dont want to have to put the griffin back on.
