Default Radio problems: no steering wheel control, no display

    Hi,

Wondering if anyone can offer advice on how to resolve the following radio problems with a 2005 facelift Vectra:

    Steering wheel controls not working
No display when radio turned on
Radio staying on when key is pulled out of the ignition

I guess I should start by checking fuses, if only I knew which ones to check (on the passenger side panel)?

I did do a forum search, but have not managed to find a thread from someone with the exact same problems.

    Any help offered greatly appreciated.

Mine did this once and it just turned out to be my mp3 CD which I had in at the time. It must have been a dodgy recording as I re recorded it and all was well. Just take out the CD then cycle the power off and on.

    Hope it works for you.

being an 05 vectra, you wont need the radio code.

First try the battery thing for a few hours.

    Fuses to check otherwise are:-
    Fuses 1, 7, 9, 10, 12, 17 and 26 in the end of the dashboard (near-side / passenger-side).
Most common is F12, but the last time this happened on the forum (last week), disconnecting the battery solved it.

As yours is full canbus, you also can disconnect your battery without needing to worry about the radio code.

I guess you've checked the fuses in the passenger end of the dash panel.
