    Default Clutch problems

Hi, I'm a newbie on this site and hoping someone out there may be able to help. Our 1.8 petrol '03 vectra had a new 3-piece clutch put on it when it's gearbox was replaced 3 months ago, in recent weeks, since the garage have been playing with it trying to sort an idle issue (wouldn't hold revs, they reckon it needs a new throttle body) we've been having problems with the clutch.

It seems to happen after we've been driving a while, once the engine is hot, the clucth pedal doesn't come all the way back up and I have to use my foot to bring it up, the first half of it is really loose or baggy (not sure how to describe) when you press it down, it has once made it really hard to put into gear, when cold/first started the problem is not the there and the clutch feels fine.

It has been bled and there's def no air. No signs of leaking at the master cylinder.

A few places have said master cylinder, and today someone gave it a good look over and suggested the rubber pipe from the hard pipe to slave may need replacing as it may be worn and expanding when hot s reducing pressure to slave.

We don't want to go spending money on the wrong thing, so if anyone has had similar please any help wold be fab!!!

The clutch pedal return spring is prone to failure there is an additional spring that should help with some of the problem I think theyre about 7 quid and takes 10 mins to chuck on.
To be honest though the problem you describe does seem to point towards the hydraulic system, did you use a genuine slave cylinder or a mickey mouse one as these have been known to cause problems.
