    confused "Check Safeguard" Message

I keep getting this message on the display screen. What does it mean? How do I fix it?

I'm also getting "InSP" showing up in the trip meter display.

    Thanks.

    As stated in the handbook:

    Check safeguard
Fault. System error in anti-theft alarm system. Have cause of fault remedied immediately. We recommend that you consult a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.

Basically you need the fault code(s) read out to identify the fault.

    Nope, hatch back....

My alarm has been playing silly ******s for ages.... It goes off if I set it on a sunny day. I've taken to winding the driver's window down, popping my arm in and pressing the deadlock, then bringing up the window. Is this related?

Thanks for the info on the "INSP" message. I'll try the "how to" out a little later..

Could be your switch under your bonnet coz in the sun the bonnet expands and lifts slightly moving the pin on the switch so sets off your alarm
