Buying from a garage will cover you for 90 days warranty, even if they do not tell you or publicise it.

Go back to them and ask them what they are going to do about it.

Sticky point for them, if they are selling cars but not registered as a trader then they are in the wrong. If they are registered as a trader then by law they need to offer a warranty of some sorts, which is usually 90 days

hi robw the bloke in the garage said thats why they are cheaper as they do not offer warrenty on them dont know if they are registered or not. what you said is this concret proof that thay must offer some sort of warrenty.

    thanks clembo

Not sure, the first arrow on the left is where the cylinder head joins the engine block.

However, I used to have a 2.2 - I once found the alternator, starter, tensioner and whole drivers side of the engine (Which is where your second, right side arrow is) covered in oil.

The problem was the lower block timing chain cover seal and a leaking oil pressure switch on the front 'leftish' side of the engine. The pressure switch is very easily cured with a new one for around £19, a big spanner and a flexible arm! Although the timing chain cover is a lot more difficult. Nothing serious though !

    Hope this helps !
