Default Steering wheel controls with jvc radio?

I have a jvc radio KD-AVX33 that i took from my previous car but i have not attempted to fit it yet, does anyone have this radio or any other jvc radio? Im not sure whether i need to get another lead for the controls on the steering wheel or not. In my previous car (peugeot 307) the steering wheel controls did not work and i was never able to find the correct lead (if there is one) for it.

I have found this lead http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/8650.html and i assume its the right one but im not sure.

can any1 enlighten me as i dont want to start to remove the original stereo to fit this to find out i wont be able to use steering wheel controls.

    cheers
    J

you need a vehicle interface also to go with the patch lead which is more expensive, around £25

Hiya mate i've got the KD-AVX40 in mine i'm not sure about the one in the link mine is an autoleads one i bought the ariel lead adapter then the autoleads one for the steering wheel controls works just like the factory fitted one ie volume, track up down, mute i'll dig out the part number later but basically yes it will work and you can get the controls to work got mine from halfrauds was about £40 not cheap but a lot cheaper than an a car audio shop quoted me! but worth it!!

No problem one little tip if you do get those ones do not connect the two orange wires together otherwise it won't work! mine is a facelift yours might be different just bear that in mind and you have to take it out twice a year to plug in your old one to change the time!! damn Bst lol
