And take your tyre's more seriously

But to be honest I can't imagine them coming down like a ton of bricks when you have clean license :\

Dangerous Driving fine will vary. Tyres you will most probably get 3 points per illegal tyre and a fine too.

have they got proof of your tyres?

deny them being bold. if they cant prove you did then you dont get the fine for them as for dangerous driving deny it again tbh without proof they have got nothing tbh.

They had the car impounded for a month and an accident investigator check the car out. I can get tyres cheap, just didn't notice they were low.

i'm waiting for mine 93 on a 60. viewed the speed camera footage too. Cops said they can't deal with it on fix penlty so have to go to court. I know it sounds bad but if anyone over took going down the Glenshane pass in Co Derry will know you can even do that speed going down there on a push bike

May be worth you securing the services of a solicitor. I obviously don't know the circumstances of the incident which culminated in the dangerous driving charge. However due to the fact your driving licence is under serious threat, if it was me, I would obtain professional representation in court. As stated, the 2 tyres alone could result in 6 points, so with the other serious charge it would be worth doing. JMO.

have you been interviewed over the alledged offence
either at a police station or at the roadside following the incident?

can you remember what you said as this will be bought up from the procecution as part of their case against you.....

you need to take this matter seriously and seek legal advice as "mates" on here will not necessarily give you the correct advice albiet under the best intentions - you dont want to take this lightly and think its going to be an easy ride

tyres are 3 points and upto £1000 per rim - they would have recorded the full tyre specification/make type and tread readings and probably have photos to back it up
if your driving was "dangerous" were you witnessed by police/members of the public - was it recorded as this will be shown - dependant on the magistrate - wether its a stipendary or a full show (3 magistrates) hearing the case and what they have seen so far that day can all affect the outcome - you could in all seriousness loose your licence with the offences taken into consideration - and even if you do walk away i would imagine a minimum of 6 to 9 points plus a considerable fine.....which is going to cause a significant increase on your insurance premium and a major dent in your pocket

speak to a solicitor and get legal representation ....and good luck

,If they impounded the car, everything will have been recorded by the vehicle examiner, and it will include photographs of the evidence. The rest of the investigation into the crash will have been reviewed by different officers taking into account witness statements, and their own measurements etc at the scene. Its not going to be a slap on the wrists, especially if the tyres might have contributed to the accident.Good luck keep us informed
