Default What Size tyres? Please advise!

I need new tyres all round on my facelift sri estate. It's got the original 215 50 17s on at moment. Handbook says I can fit 225 45 17s. These seem a lot cheaper. Will these look daft with standard suspension. Will there be too much wheelarch on show?

I have fitted 225/45/17 to my standard wheels on the front (back didnt need done) because they were much cheaper, to be honest even with the bigger ones on the back you dont really notice!

No mate, we all pretty much swap to them, they look better, the profile is just a % of the width so the overall profile is just about the same.
