    Default Rear suspension acting strange!

The rear of the car seems to scuttle about when I go over un-even surfaces especially the coloured warning tarmac coming off motorway sliproads and up to junctions.
    Has anyone encountered this?
I cant see any visible signs of a broken spring tec?

Yup, sounds like rear shocks to me. My old 'B' used to do it. Do you have a knocking noise as well?

Not noticed a knocking noise apart from what sounds like the parcel shelf.
Interesting that you say a shock absorber as it states on last years mot advisory that one is starting to leak.
Ive also noticed that bumps are very harsh when the rear end goes over them.

I have the exact same problem, I changed my upper suspension arms first to rule them out. The offside rear bounces about after hitting any bumps and can be quite dodgy at high speeds Anyone got any links to a cheap shocker? Ps sorry for hijacking your thread mate

If you want to be sure the problem is fixed DON'T GET CHEAP SHOCKS!! If you have goosed shocks it might be a good time to consider lowering it, as a half tidy spring and shock kit will work out around the same price (or even cheaper in some cases) as the equivalent standard OEM kit. I'm sure someone will be about shortly to advise on the best spring/shock combo to look for.
