Default Should i go double din or not?

Im thinking about keeping the double din , but obviously i want an upgrade.

Ive seen a few on here fitted but im looking for some recomendations with prices.

    Are they easy to fit?

Does the display work with them?

    What would you recomend?

    And price?

    Many thanks.

    Vehicle : Insignia Tourer

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI (160ps)

    Year : 2010

Depends entirely on your budget fella. My Alpine unit (IVA-W505R) is about £750 ish, then the satnav unit to go in it which also gives you full bluetooth phone functionality (PMD-B200P) is about £350 ish and the adaptor (Can't remember the part number but can find it for you if you need it) to give you OEM screen functionality (if it's a prefacelift) and steering wheel controls is about £100 ish.

Not many after market double din's support the OEM screen. The higher end Alpine units do but only the prefacelift on the Vec C as far as I know.

What kind of decent budget double din units have people used.

Its either that or get the fitting for a single unit but im scared it may look out of place.

im thinking about this too, tempted to get a double din with the big screen etc but if i cud get a single din with all the features like ipod and aux in and bluetooth etc for cheapish id be pretty happy with that.

i have a jvc single din unit from my previous car (R.I.P my pug ) that can play dvds etc but it doesnt have ipod connector so not even gonna bother fitting it, shame really as it had bluetooth and all that jazz too.
