Post back from the garage now its like driving a new car

Today my signum finally got its long awaited dmf anf clutch replaced, while it was it it also had the drivers side inner cv joint and passenger side wishbone. The dmf has been rattling for 10k and the gear change and lcutch action was awful because of this..

I had supplied the dmf, clutch and cv joint but the wishbone was something unexpected.. Paid £250 for fitting the supplied parts and for the wishbone plus fitting..

Driving home tonight was like driving a different car, had to get used to a different clutch feel than i had previously, no more clunking gear changes and jerking when declutching.. I was so used to it that it was accepted as the norm, now i have to get used to the feel of the car all over again..

One thing that is different that I am not so sure about is the torque steer, on booting it the car pulls a little to the right just after a i stomp the gas then is ok as i continue to accelerate, is this normal?

could be.. I intend to take it in for a full four wheel laser alignment very soon as i have replaced almost every part of the front and rear suspension so far this year.. Hopefully that will sort it out, can only do the car good to have it set up right.. I do not want to be wearing through these tyres in a hurry either..

I decided to jack the car up last night to check out the new wishbone as it was developing a 'clunk' on this bit. Was quite surprised to find that one of the bolts was loose and the wishbone had lots of play.. I tightened it up and took it for a spin and found the torque steer had gone.. I just do not what to do when it comes to getting a good job done from a garage thesedays, I have tried so many and been let done by all of them at some point.. I only trust my own work now, i guess thats why i try to do as much myself as possible. I am not a mechanic myself yet seem to do a better job..

Anyhow the car was dropped off for a four wheel laser alignment this morning at a place around the corner from my office.. Hopefully they know how to use their Hunter machine and get the job done properly, not sure if i would have any other work done their though, best thing about the place was the receptionist, she was sooooooooo fit.... Will get to go back for another perv when i pick my car in an hour or so..
