Would say 75 - 80% is motorway. I generally don't drive her hard but she is about to be put up for sale so have been taking it easy so i can put a nice pic up showing these figures.

Okay, here goes anyway, two values:

    1) 102.9miles @ 20mph = 44.8mpg
    2) 49.2miles @ 53mph = 69.3mpg

Number 1 is since I refilled on Friday and as you can see, I've done alot of town driving and testing boxes yet again. Actually had it down to 30mpg at one point!

Number 2 was reset as I set off on the M25 tonight. Went on two motorways, one A road and a bit of town driving to get to the door step.

If you drive fast, accellerate fast and use the brakes alot, you get pants fuel ecconomy. If you accellerate slowly, drive slowly, use cruise control, slow down by rolling in gear and starting to slow long in advance, you can get some scary figures.

These figures were obtained WITHOUT a tuning box, just the VXR remap. As a result, the figures should be no more than 5% out.

    69.3 * .95 = 65.8mpg
    44.8 * .95 = 42.6mpg

Got another 80 odd miles to do tonight so that average of 44 should be upto about 54.6mpg.

If I did the same with the box in, I would get at least 5% less fuel ecconomy which, is why I want a switching mechanisum.

    since the re-map..

    1187 miles...

    ave speed 36mph

    ave consumption...27.9 mpg..

which suprises the heck out of me as that includes some enthusiastic towing and my usual sedate style of driving.. ...well i didn't buy it for economy.
