    confused Indicators don't cancel

    Hi Guys,

Got a problem where my indicators don't self cancel after turning a corner.

I can cancel them myself manually but its slightly annoying lol! Been to a friends garage who got his reader on to look to sync the steering wheel sensor but couldn't find it on the options (might be his reader though as wasn't a vaux one).

So...I have swapped the indicator stalk for a known working one and the fault is still there, cruise control etc still works fine.

Do all models come with the steering wheel sensor? Mines a 2004 1.9cdti.

The part for the indicators on the steering rack is around £140

Anyone any ideas what it could be?

    Thanks in advance

might be the steering angle sensor but sounds like a suspect cim would definatly check the cheap stuff first though and if your gasping at £140 a new cim with coding is like £300-400 steering angle sensor is within the cim though so a recalibration is definatly the first step

Cheers guys I thought it might be a CIM fault as well, however after some research its not a common symptom, anyone know if the indicators have a manual part that knocks them off or if it purely relies on the sensor?

Try getting the SAS (steering angle sensor) reset.
