Default How do I know if I have ESP?

This seems like a bit of an idiot question, but I really don't know

The car is a '53 plate 2.0t SRi estate. It doesn't have any switches on the console, not even a traction control one. I've seen ABS and TC lights come on on the dash when driving 'vigorously' but no others. So, do I have ESP, or how do I tell?

    Ta!

YOu cant tell if you have ESP... only VX can tell you..

But if you can make the "tc/esp" light show on dash while spinning your wheel.. then you have TC..

Look on the ABS module on the lable if there are the letters ESP (like on mine) then yes. If not then I doubt it.

If you have traction control or ESP you should have a button to disable it (if wished) at speeds below 40mph. As I'm aware should never come on when the ABS is in operation.

    Hello everyone.

Thanks for your help, I'll have a look under the bonnet where you suggest, and if no joy will pass on the VIN number.

Fingers crossed,it looks like I won't need a new master cylinder anyway now, but I'd still be interested to know.

    Cheers

    Ed
