    First time I've actually tried this, used hot water and WD40 first, then heat gun and Autoglym Tar remover after. Latter much easier

    Looks much nicer mate! That Autoglym tar remover is amazing stuff! Pretty much removes anything bar the paint!

    Yes, I like it better now - thanks for comments.
    Had to ignore neighbours who watched with comments like "our **** does it much quicker and better, he only uses mayonnaise.
    One doing college course, trainee mechanic, 5 months and nothing I can tell him, he knows it all. Even warned me when I told him I had low profile tyres to be careful, as the legal limit is 1.6mm
    Was tempted to ask if mayo was Hellmans...........
