Thumbs up diy very cheap induction kit

hi guys i have a cdti 150 sri estate 2006

well guys after searching for air filters and i am on a tight budget and a k and n panel filter is 50quid and carbon induction kits are around that price plus having to modify my flexi pipe to make it fit i have decided to go for one of these but a chaeper one on ebay for 6quid delivered and there is 2 oin a pack
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIPERCROSS-C1051MX-Trumpet-Rampipe-Air-Filter-Sock_W0QQitemZ360248767433QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Ca rsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item53e07ff3c9

i have 2 options either to fit it to the trumpet inside my airbox and clamp it on and take out my air filter so this is the filter inside my airbox

or take out the airbox completely and fit this to the MAF sensor housing then run a cold air feed sealed over the filter and maf to the orginal airbox cold feed then i have a diy enclosed induction kit essentially

as this material is the same as the pipercross panel filter just smaller i will take some pics once fitted but which option would you go for guys then???

in my personal opinion the more air that goes into the engine the better so puttin a tiny filter on seems to defeat the object splash out and get the k&n panel filter you wont regret it
