Question Best place to buy springs? Will I need shocks?

    Hi folks,

I'm looking for the cheapest place to buy springs. Ideally want something that will drop my car around 35mm. I've got a Vectra C - LS - 2.0DTI running on 19" VXR Multi-spokes. What spring would you go for and where?

Also, are shocks needed if I get new springs or will the standard LS one's be sufficient?

    Thanks!

I'm fairly sure you should get new shocks as the standard LS ones are standard sized and probably will only do a 15mm drop at most.

SRi shocks are shorter and can cope with a 30mm-35mm drop (15mm standard so only another 15mm drop) but they don't recommend much more than that so I don't think your LS ones will do -35mm.

I bought some Eibach springs from LMF along with some Bilstein B4 shocks but not got round to fitting them yet, still getting my head around the How2!

A standard LS setup should have no problems dropping 30mm, any more than that and i'd recommend shorter shocks.

For dropping 30mm, eibachs are great or PI's which are a bit cheaper
