Go up and down, then side to side, rather then round in circles with the clay, and use plenty of lubricant. Id reccomend megs quik clay, as its cheap and its what i used the first time i clayed.

Make sure you fold the clay to lock the dirt inside, but i usually do half the car before i do that.

dont worry, you wont do any damage to the paint.

just make sure you put a good polish on, a good sealent, like megs #21, and then a good coat of wax for the extra deep shine!

    HTH mate, good luck.

And remember not to drop it on the floor. if you do the clay is scrap. as it will pick up grit and then it will scratch your paint work. some people recomend breaking the clay in half then at least you still have half left, good luck , I belive it can be hard work, but very rewarding with the results...

maybe a quick scan through www.detailingworld.co.uk would be a good idea

but as Ed said, dont drop it on the floor, if your cars never beed done then it will feel very smooth afterwards.

Jonno 07 Don,t worry about the neighbours, after a while they will lose interest and think you are mad like my neighbours, and I recon like many memers too. Your neighbours are only envious of you nice car and willingness to look after it... enjoy.
