Default Oil leak from the pipe....

while i got my gf to start my car so i could see if the swirl rod was moving ok, i noticed smoke coming up from the osf of the engine ( as your looking at it) Now there is a black hose that comes from the bacj of the engine above the inlet manifold and goes down the front of the car into a plastic pipe im guessing going to the intercooler??? anyway, the bracket where it fixes to near the radiator isnt fixed to anything and is lose and you can move it, and i put my hand down there and there is oil present, quite a bit but my level isnt down???? anyone any ideas what this could be or had a leak there themselves? pls dont tell me this is the intercooler goosed now

Might be worth getting a pic of the pipe, sounds to me like it's the boost pipe (from intercooler to inlet)

the pipe you are describing if i'am right is about 1inch diameter and is the breather so is collecting oil at the leak nothing to serious

Will have to take a picture tommorrow then as its too dark now, unless anyone has a pic of a 150 cdti engine and i could point it out?? its bigger than 1", its a fair size and it goes to a plastic pipe further down. Im guessing it goes to the intercooler?? does this sound like an intercooler problem or a pipe split, come off ??

best thig to do is get some one to hold the revs down on boost(2.5-3k) while you check the pipe... you will soon know if the boost pipe has a split or not.
it could also be the rocker cover gasket has a leak on that area

If it is a boost leak, you will get heavy smoking from the exhaust on acceleration too

even the the oil is right down the front near the radiator?? there is a like whooshin noise when u rev it so wud that maybe point to the pipe being split or damaged in some way?
