CD30 - CD40 Dab Help

Hello,

Has anyone upgraded their CD30 to CD40Dab in their facelift Vectra?

I have just bought one and was wondering what it involves? Headlining out etc?

It comes with the unit, screen, dab unit and bracket, aerial and aerial wiring.

Any help or tips would be great.

i think u mean cdc40, i know ricki upgraded his to cdc40 but without the dab box

there is a few threads about this i'm sure on here if you do a search. What i can say is that the CDC40 is great, once you DAB u never go back.

ive had a look and can't see anyone that has done it (unless im doing it wrong)

I know of one who HAS definately done it, and there were at least two in various stages of doing it / pulling their hair out in an attempt to do it.

The biggest hurdle is the specific aerial leads between the roof to the DAB box and the link aerial lead between DAB unit and the head-unit.

All other wiring is straight forward...make up the mini loom from DAB to head-unit, and then swap head-units and screens...that should be it.
I have a table of wires (colours, functions and destinations) for the DAB unit if you need it...they have already been posted twice on the forum somewhere.

If you are NOT using DAB, then it is virtually plug n play.
