    Default wheel settings

    can anyone tell me what the correct settings are for the front and back wheels for correct alignment so you dont get inner wear,or choppy tyres.i.e toed in minus or positive offset or toed out ,there is a lot of confusion about what the correct settings are ,help required to clear this matter up.if i rang vauxhall up will they tell me ,i have a 1.9 cdti 150.

    Ride height is measured from the centre of the wheel to the highest part of the wheel arch.

    mine is a 1.9 cdti design not a sri will that make any difference to the way it is tracked.it says on the settings and it says saloon,saloon sports,estate.they have been setting mine up on normal vectra c std will this make a big difference has it has been back 3 times now and it is still right hand down and pulling slightly to the left ,it will have to go back again ,what a pain in the btm.help needed on what difference sports and std would make,thanks

    The ride height is the determining factor and as you can see from the alignment data, the camber angles change with the ride height.

    Also have a read of the techy stuff here http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/index.php so at least when you take it back you'll at least be able to tell the muppets what's expected. If they don't understand global geometry theory, go elsewhere.

    If its a design then its just standard suspension.

    Looking at the above link with settings. I see there is 3 trim levels, standard, sport and bumpy road. Some ride heights have 1 setting, others 2 and others 3. If theres 1 does it apply to all? If theres 3 then the 3 settings in order for each? But when only 2 settings, then what??
