    father in laws car just died an been towed by the aa.........only thing i`ve been half told is fuel module and 1000 pound to fix.......whats happened to it lads???

    be the ecu on the fuel pump from the sound of it unfortunatly that price sounds quite cheap try a local diesel spec he might be able to sort a recon pump

    Sounds like fuel pump as they are expensive, but i did a search on the net and there are specialist companys who recondition your old pump, prices were £250 - £300 still alot of money but not as bad as a new one for £1500.

    only if divorced via tech 2 properly will then need to be recoded i think if its me i would look at a £300 repair

    One of the companys i found on the net said if you remove the ecu from the pump, (they do a how 2) and send it off to them they charge £35.00 to check the ecu, if found to be faulty they knock the £35.00 off the total price for reconditioning. I think they say its a 2 - 3 day turn around. They also show you how to refit the ecu. I'll see if i can find the company for you.

    Yep there the ones i found bigmac, i was chuffed when i found companys who do repairs of the fuel pump.
