None of em will touch me, in their eyes i'm the car slayer cabbie, who aims for other road users just for the hell of it, has to use specialist insurance companies now, not bad for 8 yrs no claims bonus is it, me if I owned an insurance company I'd take on my sort of client all day long, 8 yrs bonus should indicate I'm not your typical must get there at all costs yesterday type.

Nope, when I'm driving I call upon god for help, I see a traffic jam and he materialises an empty car transporter with the back down, so I can leap the jam, if that fails i just put my foot down and close my eyes while reciting passages from the bible, and i'm such a good guy, I dont charge the pedestrians who have jumped on to the bonnet to save shoe leather.

I've just changed mine and did all the usual shopping around. Went with Adrian Flux as they were the only ones that will cover my mods and repair back to how the car is rather than just back to standard as all the others would.
I was with Royal Sun Alliance through More Than and they wanted £336 to renew with mods covered but back to standard in the event of an accident.
I'm now with...........Royal Sun Alliance through Adrian Flux, £292 all mods covered, repaired to how the car is now
    Work that one out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VV the insurance industry should take a look at itself, you for one are not going to jeppordise your car, you need it for a living, so will [I hope] take more care of it, why they do not have a special sort of policy for the likes of you cab driver,s I don,t know. "oh well"...

Thanks for all the help guys but the slick tongued bloke from Elephant rang back to rant on again and after a little haggling i got it slightly down but am tied by the fact i pay monthly.

Still i'm pleased with the package

    £85.76 Deposit
    £32.75 per month

Fully comp, legal expenses, courtesy car (not a problem as i work at a garage), mods declared (not that they are extensive, yet), and generally cheaper than any other i have been to!

So i'm quite pleased with that , and as Tesco told me they couldn't budge then they have just lost them a customer. They don't seem bothered though as i think they have a few hundred thousand other customers...

Of people who have declared tuning boxes (I'm sure you all have!!), what sort of price difference does it add on top? I asked Direct Line about a 20% increase in power through fitting a box and they were coming back with silly figures for insurance, nearly double!!!!

Thats very good. In fact, for me the difference between 1.9 150 CDTi and 3.0 V6 CDTi is £32 extra for the V6, so an increase of £42 isnt bad as you will get the same performance as the V6 with the box on the 1.9.
Who are you insured with BTW?

    Thanks.
