    Default Painting exhausts tailpipes....

    Is it fairly easy to paint exhaust tailpipes as long as you use the right kinda paint??

    I'm just fed up of my pipes never cleaning up so I'm gonna paint them black at some point and lose the last little bit of exterior shiny bits lol

    I've thought about this too bud, you get heat proof paint that would be ideal for it, depends what sort of finish your looking for though

    I've been looking on ebay and found stuff for motorbikes etc but unsure how the black will look coming out of a can etc, don't wanna make a mess of my pipes

    Could you not just get some new tail pipes welded to your back box (that can then be kept in tip top condition), I can't see the painted idea looking any good when done.

    I probably could although that will be the 3rd set of tailpipes my car has had

    Lol, its not worth it till I sort out a rebuild to stop the engine spitting out oil

    i did my car a few yrs ago , go to a gun shop and buy a product called gun blue .. wear gloves .. give the metal a good clean and wipe it on ,, it attacks the metal and turns its black like gun barrels . then put some oil on it and let dry .. it wont come off and looks loads better than paint

    cold gun blue paste about a fiver on good old ebay
