Where is that pipe for the turbo also will that give the correct Reading I though it had to be on the manifold boost pipe. It will be great if I can just put a t piece in to the small turbo pipe also how do you run the vacuum pipe through the bulkhead to the drivers side dash at the top next to the windscreen

Any help much appreciated I take it any boost gauge that reads 30psi will do also where do you attach the illumination wires too cheers all

Hi guys was wondering if any one out there can help I am looking at a smoke mechanical boost gauge on the bay with all fittings pipe and t peice now I have heard you can't use the vacuum pipe off the turbo as it does not work bit why? Also if I drill a small hole in my boost pipe intercooler to inlet manifold the rubber one and push the barbed t peice in so it's really tight fit then seal it with rubber glue so it's air tight will that be ok to supply my boost gauge

And also how loud is the mechanical boost gauge as I have heard they are noisey in the cabin can some one please help me asap thanks guys

well i have decided how i am going to fit my boost guage and i am going to drill a small hole into the rubber boost pipe just before it goes onto the manifold i am going to drill small hole then push into it the barbed t piece so its a very tight fit and thr barbs means it wont come out then i am going to use silicone to seal it around the t peice once it sets then i will be ready to fit the pipe onto it and seal of one end of the t piece also if it does go wrong and i need to take it out i can just bandage up the pipe with duck tape so its air tight till i can afford to replace it

what do you guys think i iwll post up pics once fitted by the way

I will try without the no buzz 1st if it's bad then I might try instead a regulator. Valve from my aquarium to splice in the boost gauge hose it has a screw valve on top so I coils screw it closed untill I get no buzz and a correct Reading I will take some pics while fitting it to do a how2 for the cdti
