    Default volcanic ash....

    ok so following on from the news stories that Dust from the eruption in Iceland presents a serious risk to aircraft. and flights in Scotland have now been grounded .... dont you think that there could be some implications of the ash actually clogging the filters on cars as well

    also the damage that it can cause to paintwork on vehicles ....

    are any of our scottish brethren taking additional precautions ??

    if it starts to rain there cud be problems but is it not too high up to have any effect on the ground?

    You can add Exeter, Eastmidlands, Newcastle, Gatwick, Cardiff..., you can forget about flying across the UK for the next 5 hours or more.

    All Scottish airports are closed atm, apparently London flights are trying to get as many out as possible but are going to close at noon.

    This would be rather random to see on the motorway:

    I always just rely on withdrawl as a precaution. It saves money, Im Scottish you see.
