    Default Foggy fog lamps again!

As you will remember I have had to send an e-mail to Vauxhall customer care about the lack of support etc from my local dealer about my fogged up spot lamp lense.

To date I have not heard a scooby from them, So i have fired of another slightly stronger e-mail so will let you all know if I get a response from this one. This is c**p as I have been with Vauxhall for 30 years and they do not have the manners to reply to an e-mail

Mine too has gone foggy just the passengers one. Could it be covered under the warranty?

I did hear that if you over fill the washer bottle it can run in to the light and cause it to fog up. I don,t know how true it is , but I do not over fill mine just in case....

i have the same problem on the passenger side. went to my local dealer, they said it is not covered under warranty, vx do a twenty mins test. leave your fogs on for twenty mins, if the condensation clears that is ok, if it doesn't a new one will set you back £102 fitted. that is what i was told. i think i can live with a little bit of foggy fogs lol.

Just did the 'twenty minute test' out of curiosity yesterday, still a fair wee bit of condensation left after 25 mins. Think I should bother to try and get it replaced under warranty?

Try taking the bulb out if your car is facing into the sun, this weather might dry it out quite quickly...

I had mine replaced under warranty, Didn't clear after the 20 minute test so it was replaced - been fine ever since.

Some people have just taken the bulb out and wiped inside leaving it to dry thoroughly for a while and that's done it. Seems to be predominantly the nearside lens that fogs up - could very well be linked to filling/over filling the washer bottle as per Ed's comment.

always worth trying to get it fixed under warranty if you can. but i agree with duncan, remove the bulb and wipe the lens, this has worked for me
