    Default Detailing newbie...

I am a relative novice when it comes to proper detailing but I am a good and willing learner! Despite that, I was chuffed with how my car came out after about 6 1/2 hours work on Saturday...

The car was washed with Turtlewax car shampoo but it air dried with water marks because it was a warm day! So I got the hump with it, had some lunch and attacked it again with a second wash, this time rinsing and drying each panel, one at a time.

The treatment was all done using Autoglym products coz I've got lots of 'em! Too many car magazine subscription freebies! So one treatment with Super Resin Polish. Then some Extra Gloss Protection.

All the photos were taken before I got to use the AG Glass Polish and AG Instant Tyre Dressing out too but I did get to them as well, so it looks even better now outside my office window!

The inside was cleaned thoroughly last week, so I left that. I want to do the engine bay at some point, though.

The photos are a bit rubbish and blurry because they were taken with my i-Phone camera as it was getting dark.

    What do you think?

    (Sorry - no "before" shots...)

Notice the dent in the driver's door? Long story...

Like you say not the best pics but looks nice and shiny.

You might want to add a glaze inbetween the SRP and EGP to add some extra deepness. A glaze like Poorboys Black Hole (for example) would be good for your car. This way isn't expensive but adds that something extra.

You can go very silly with detailing products, so it all depends how far you want to go

    Thanks, guys.

Poorboys Black Hole, eh? I was wondering what else I could use - apart from a better camera with a tripod. I shall look for some. Where can I get it?

I know! My bank manager is already worried! I think "silly" is okay, "very silly" might be too far. My wife may have other views...

Not really an off the shelf product, most online retailers sell it.

Mark at Autobright stock it... http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/po...73ml-651-p.asp
