Angry seriously debating whether to sell the siggy

im seriously thinking about getting rid of the signum , it just seems to me that the car is bad luck

when i brought it in october it was great but since then i seem to be replacing part after part on it and it seems to be never ending

and also it seems to be a magnetic for ***** in car parks opening there door and leaving dings all over the body work

then yesterday dropped the kids off at there mothers and noticed somebody has scraped down the n/s rear door, n/s rear door trim and n/s rear wheel arch

managed to get most of it out with a mop but still some marks there also having to have the screen changed on fri because of a crack

would be nice if something would actually go right for once

    rant over thanks for reading

What bits have you had to replace? Wear and tear items?

TBH I had a few knocks removed before I sent it back but it was completly reliable with the excception of a few things under warranty and one front spring in over 30k. Sorry to hear the bad luck

I always park in a less busy bit of the car park and try and have a space on each side to avoid people denting it. That makes no difference at all though as you can guarantee that when I come back to the car, There will be the biggest 4x4 on one side and a people carrier full of child seats on the other.
I just wish people would be more considerate and careful when opening their doors!
I remember reading about a guy a few years ago who kept having his car keyed outside his house. He decided to take things into his own hands and wired up the bodywork of his car to the mains power in his house. He ended up going to prison for frying a passing traffic warden!

hey sean , yeah just wear and tear , the thing thats annoying is the car park dings , yeah as you say it is totally relable cant knock it for that jsut one of those bad days when it all gets on top of you

doubt ill sell it just needed to get it all off my chest

one question you might be able to answer , you had a ribbed belt changed which i guess is the serpentine belt for alternator etc , do you know if they changed the tensioner because got a bit of a rattle and think its that????

My motto is "If its got t*ts or wheels it'll give you problems".Chalk it down to experience and move on.No point selling it and getting something else, you dont know if thats going to be the same

I had the belt changed but not the tensioner. Would have been about 18 months ago - maybe longer - as it was starting to squeek. It was £36 iirc, free labour as they got the wrong belt in the first time

It could well be that, although the cambelt/tensioners have never been done either so have a close look at those too - unless you have already done those

no thats next on the list , it doesnt look a bad job to be honest , be quoted £75 labour to have it done so might get both done at once
