    Default fuel filter cdti 150 .

    guys want to change my fuel filter cdti sri 150, just had a look on the how2 guide nothing there, any tips on removing the canister part so i can get to filter inside cheers dave..

    Yes mate it's easy did min the other day release the two pipes conected to the top then there should be a cable going to the bottom unclip that then you should find the unit will just push up and out the holder quite easy then I just placed the unit in a vise not to tight and used a 3 legged type oil filter remover to open it be carefull as it will be full of diesel then replace the rubber o ring and new filter and reverse the prosess takes about 20 mins remember to keep turning key in ignition to switch live without starting car a few times maby 6 or so you will hear the filter fill with fule then start as normal hope this helps

    cheers kev yeah seems fairly straight forward , ill give it a bash at the weekend.
    ( daft question ) the 3 legged oil filter remover, is that correct name of the tool so i can go out and buy one..

    if you say you need an oil filter remover the one with 3 legs they will know what you mean and if you type 3 leg oil filter remover it will come up on ebay but there not really cheap i only used that because ive got one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Oil-Filter...item4cee2a933a you could try pure man power but mine was really tight see if you can borrow one now you know what it looks like

    i did mine yesterday, there is a drain valve underneath for when you get holder off car, i put mine carefully in vice and undid ring by hand, first filter i bought was completely wrong, easy and straightforward to do
