Is there a way to patch the flex mesh up or do you need to buy a new bit. What is the name of that part and can you replace it without replacing whole exhaust? cheers

Cut out the old flexi, weld in a new one. Come in all sizes, Ebay is full of them.
its a common problem on all vauxhall flei joints.
Its the front exhaust section and i was quoted £470 so buying a whole front section was for me a big no no. Take it along to your friendly local exhaust shop (MIJ, simons, C&C for example) and they will cut the old one out and weld in a new one for between £50-£60.
Cant just buy that first section from engine that includes the first flexi and replace or is it all one pieice?? Thanks
The section with the flexi starts at the bottom of the downpipes - flexi - cat - silencer making it an expensive bit to replace.
Forgot to mention its dealer only aswell, parts shops cant source them so theres no way of avoiding the price tag unless you get the flexi replaced on its own.
You can but if they are anything like the dti, the Cat is part of it and it costs a fortune, better to just get a new one welded in
So you casnt replace from cat to engine cause its one piece?? Shame you cant just tape the flexi up with magic tape :-D
