I went for the enclosed induction kit... A Ramair from the bay, still using most of the stock snorkel at the moment, but am still trying it out.. It has a better sound already... more pick up, but as I am still testing it I can only say it is better than just using the airbox mod, and its the same price as the common KN panel filter which most say gives them little or no difference..

I have a Simota closed kit on my CDTi 150 and it sounds awesome. The turbo whistle is noticeably louder and the pickup is much smoother - but it has some great sounds when lifting off, more so when its cold.

Hi dan I am deffo goin down the closed induction root now I am bidding on a few on the bay the question is in the 150cdti engine bay it looks tight for room. Especially as the maf points towards the rear could I attach the filter directly to the maf then take the cold air feed around 180degrees to the front intake or will I need an elbow to turn the filter around sorry if it sounds confusing lol.

I am doing this on a tight budget so want to keep costs down to a minimum and hoping a can get away without buying silicone pipes or metal elbows and just use the filter and air feed

    Thanks hope to hear soon

The Vec engine bay has loads of room on that side !! This is what the Simota kit is like...

....it follows the direction of the MAF then comes right back round to meet the OE intake (although this will be replaced with a direct intake soon).

(sorry for the rubbish pic, its an old one with taken with a camera phone) !!

Is the length of pipe you have flexible..? If so then it can be bent to the angles you require.

    Similar to this...?

    Thumbs up

Dan....are you running with a tuning box or standard?............just a thought but i can't have my box on the higher settings as car seems to hold back.......was thinking this could be due to lack of cold air.........more air + box .....= more power..........
